I really haven't done photography since the early '90s...but I will make a passing comment about Thai gals...they were so much better looking in the early '90s than today in general.

In Patpong, in 1990, you had a Wendy's, Shakey's and ampm, and those had more or less just arrived then..only the ampm remains IIRC. Now, you have at least 2 7-11s, a KFC, McDonalds, BK, etc....all these girls dine on US fast food and lose their figures.

I hang out at this VN cafe in Little Saigon in Orange County CA...the day shift is merely VGL, the night shift more or less flawless. You have the occasional Latina, one Indian I believe (new hire), two hot PI gals, and everyone else VN. It's a great hangout..outstanding cafe sua da, free wifi, televised sports and of course, the gals serving coffee. Just understand that that's all they do, although a couple might be interested in the AGF thing at $6-$10K/month . American-raised VN gals know their value. .

I might do an Orange County punters guide...but that one, I'd have to seriously code up...to at least 40, maybe 50, and then it would be just an experiment...you can get the info off of MP Reviews anyway...the way they do it in OC is to disguise the place as something non-sexual, like a chiro office, a day spa, etc. Unfortunately the places get a lot of male foot traffic, and then the neighbors complain, you can figure out the rest.

Your rating got me thinking....if I know --- in English ....even a thousand words!  I wonder how many words most people really know?

In fact, I read somewhere that to be able to read Chinese newspapers, all one needs to do is to be able to read 3 or 400 words.

So you knowing a 1,000 Thai words - I guess you're very fluent in it?  Must be a heckuva advantage in Thailand i/o having to speak "Farang" to them!

And on your VN cafes in Westminster - I gotta go to one of those next time I get up to LA area.  I read somewhere that the gals working at these kind of cafes are really good looking - but its mostly see-no-touch, right? Kinda hard to tolerate for guys I'd think - and wonder how is it that they seem to do such good business, especially as much as they charge. And are they REALLY all dressed that provocatively?

Are there such type of cafes in Monterey Park/Alhambra area?  I mean, it don't seem as if there is any laws against or even any way that any city/government could outlaw such an operation.  Hooters operates everywhere in the open - and I'd think to open one anywhere, all one would need to do is to satisfy all the codes and laws to open a regular restaurant - no?

as for BKK girls, i agree with u, p310, that the girls were better presented in the 90s (i first visited in '90 also)--they were more feminine, more polite, yet just as carnal. prices were less ridiculous, even with the baht pegged at 25/USD. the takeup in fast-food consumption has widened many a pert young bottom. yet, i still loved the year i lived there, even though my work-plans fell through. and despite the ongoing instability i still like to go there and check the talent...there are still some lovely spinners here and there, though many have been spoiled by too many farang with more baht than brains. the country has not been well served by the floods of horny guys who've flooded in, driving annual tourist-numbers into eight digits--the sin sot amount in many Isaan provinces has risen above what locals can afford, not to mention that the bride usually intends to extract every last satang from the farang mark...errrr, groom, in subsequent years. dad needs a new pickup truck, we need a house, my "brother" needs his mao lao/Krongthip allowance, my mother needs three new air-cons and the water buffalo needs a sex-change operation. meh.

just for the hell of it, a couple of FASTER PUSSYCAT stills. Susan Bernard reclines on the hood of the car, you can bet Tura made her "shake in her boots." the other actress is Haji, who plays Dee to Varla's Tom (u know what i mean, p310   ) in the film.

top 3 cafes...everyone thinks Cafe Lu is #1, I think it's a little overrated, I like Miss Cutie , probably because I'm "known", and like the girls..besides it's not a brothel, god knows there are tons of those nearby masquerading as something else.

#2 would be Temptation...known for hiring barely legal talent, and known for wearing the g-strings one size too big on purpose. (Cafe Caesars, which has been gone for a while now, started this trick...and the girls would let you know if they were available later, but they wanted a monthly deal, not an hourly).

Di Vang 2 used to be good, but the management has pissed everyone off from girls to customers. It's a privilege to drink coffee there, you know.

This is strictly a Little Saigon thing, SEAJ. About 50 or so cafes in the area.

i never met Russ but i knew people who did. they said he was very much "stuck in the 60s" and as he got older, got more ornery. it happens. but this is a self-taught guy who created films out of whole cloth: he wrote/produced/directed/shot/edited his films himself. he married two of his leading ladies. the production values were excellent and he believed in shot-by-shot color-correction even in early VHS days: his transfers were PRISTINE.

if an RM fan, you must buy the double-disc special edition DVD of BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS (1970). it was made by 20th Century Fox who've always disowned the film, although it made them lots of money and is still a classic. it has two audio commentaries: one by the stars and one by Roger Ebert. although Ebert is better known as a film-critic, he wrote the screenplay for BVD, one of the few screenplays Meyer didn't write himself. Ebert's commentary is excellent, non-stop, and considering his recent surgeries have left him unable to speak, an archival treasure.

i saw BVD when i was just a brat in 1973, and it was a life-changing moment. i just knew from then on that most of what my parents and teachers had been telling me was WRONG: there was a big bright wild world out there and to get there, i would have to find my own path. for that alone i must thank Uncle Russ. but there's much more to this legendary director to BVD.

some Russ factoids:

- the film lab ruined a quarter of his footage rushing HELLO DOLLY (1968) into production, so only 3/4ths of CHERRY, HARRY AND RAQUEL exists. but rather than scrapping the project, Russ hired buxotic actress Uschi Digard (who speaks five languages and appeared in SUPERVIXENS and ILSA: HAREM-KEEPER OF THE OIL SHEIKS, among other classics) to act out scenes "evoking" the missing footage. that's why the film's so surreal. still made money tho...Russ fans are diehards!

- actress Erica Gavin (aka VIXEN) plays a lesbian in BVD. Gavin, who also appeared in several early Jonathan Demme, is actually a lesbian. Demme told me that himself. i don't care: she still gives me The Horn.

- Meyer won as many Best Director Oscars as Alfred Hitchcock and Orson Welles: ZERO. roll that around your brain for awhile.

Hey SEAJ man, just want to say that this is a good thread and good job yo!

Anyway, I hope I'm not hijacking the thread with this post. If I am, please tell me and I'll start a new thread. I want to get you guys take on this situation.

I'll start with the background info. I recently started visiting this WG quite regularly, say once or twice a week. She's a China girl btw. Anyway, I get along pretty well with her and we can communicate decently although she speaks very little English and I speak just a bit more Mandarin.

I know that PRC girls get a bad rap for being gold miners etc, but this girl definitely is not one (or at least not yet). After my second session with her, I started tipping her and a few times, she gets upset with me and flat out refuses to take my money. What I do then is just take the money from her hand and put it in her handbag. Also, I'm the type that tips at the start of the session to the girls I'm regular with. This may be strange but I just prefer it that way since I've never been disappointed with the girls I do repeats with. Anyway, with this girl, a couple of times, after going home, I actually find that she's put the tip money back into my wallet or pocket. Whatever the case is, I still tip her since I think she deserves it.

We get along really well and I've bought her small gifts of cosmetics that she asked for, never spending more than about HKD 300ish per gift. And she's also never asked me to buy her handbags or wallets or anything expensive like that.

She mentioned that she only wants to work in this line for say another year before heading back to China for good. I want to help her transition to a good job in China. But I'm not rich by any means so putting her up in a nice apartment in China is out of the question. Also, I've got no connections in China where I could get her a decent paying job.

Do you guys have any ideas about what I can do for her? One thing I can think of is to buy her one of those Pimsleur English as a 2nd language for Mandarin speaker CD package where she can listen to it in her free time and learn English. The cost would be about USD 200 and that's a reasonable amount to spend I think. Any other ideas what I can do for her? I think anywhere below USD 2,000 would be reasonable.

Also, fwiw, I'm not seeking a relationship with her. I'm very clear that there's no future for the both of us as a couple. I just truly want the best for her. Appreciate any feedback.

The only thing I worry about is that since this is such a good question, this thread may NOT do it enough justice and that it could be buried in all the nonsense here. You could of course ALSO post the same question on a separate thread.

Anyway, I've been faced with this "want to learn English" thing with a few of my regulars too. At first, I also did the same thing - buying them a proper English lesson course etc., but I found out INVARIABLY that English was such a challenge to the China gals that they would sooner or later (mostly sooner) just give up trying to learn from the course and the pack would just gather dust.  Let's face it, WG's everywhere are NOT the most motivated of gals and they are used to taking short cuts!  And somehow, China WG's IMHO are much less self motivated. (and BTW - I refer to gals from the PRC as China gals i/o Chinese girls to specifically point out that they are PRC gals).

So instead, what I did is to buy those el cheapo DVD's which teaches Chinese CHILDREN English - you know, RMB 10 or so for English lessons with bunnies or cartoons popping up!  And the first gal I gave this to seems to pick English up quite OK instead! So this is what I now do for gals who supposedly wants to learn English.  When she's a bit "conversant" then and only then would I go ahead and gift her with a proper English course.

As far as doing anything more for her - let's face it W68 - for what? You've said yourself that you cain't see much more with her (and you've already read my reply to savana http://forum.sex141.com/eforum/v ... 7465&highlight= so I don't think I need to repeat right?

I guess if I had seen it on another brand of automobile - whether el cheapo or exorbitantly priced like a Ferrari or Lamborghini I would think yeah AWESOME - but on a Roller, I thought - hmmmm.... how NOT awesome that plate is/it cheapens the whole Roller image thing.  

I guess my thoughts would be the same with a Maybach or some other "Grand Dames" of the auto industry.  So its interesting what you say about RM's take on brand worship - for indeed, the whole world is getting more and more slavish to brands to the point of ridiculousness.

I received a PM advising me that I really need to watch out for trolls on this thread, and that trolls here abounds because they want to get RA by getting posting credits/karmas.  RA's as they want to access the real pictures that members post up here - to re-sell or use such pictures for other nefarious objectives.

Well, as you know, I HAVE been quite active in giving karmas as well as trying my best to encourage members to join us here - as I do believe that members - especially newbies do need some encouragement to join in the conversation/discussion etc here. Thus the PM to me.

And this matter of trolls - yes, this has got me plenty worried and I do hope that members here will give me a heads up if they think that somebody IS just trolling. On the other hand, i would also appreciate it if you will NOT take unilateral action even if its your best guess that the guy is trolling.....for it may very well be that the guy is just truly clueless/not even aware that he's doing something wrong on our forum. don't worry SEAJ. there's always a balance in this forum, while you're generous enough to give acceptance to newbies (and inadvertently some of the trolls), there are also others who are, lets put it this way, not as nice as you are and are willing to wield the stick and unleash negative karma, bans and what not on those trolls and idiots.

its the yin yang thing man.

just be your usual nice self, there are other mods and admins and senior bros willing to smack idiots around here. so there is a balance in the force.

understand yr philosophy, SEAJ, and appreciate it. you want to encourage newbies, get the lurkers to post, and have fun interacting with ppl who share our hobby.

it's not always easy to tell when someone is posting for less-than-upfront-purposes, for lack of a better term, but i'm going to suggest a few indicators here.

1) this board is primarily for gentlemen who enjoy 141-activities in the greater HK region, and are willing to share their reports/pix under the RA-restrictions set by the board's moderators, who work HARD to keep this board running smoothly: i.e. free of non-contributors/spam/guys who just-don't-get-it.

2) the way to rise through the ranks is to post reports. with pix if possible. bad experience, good experience, doesn't matter. postyour HONEST experience. if u do this properly, senior members will appreciate it and K you up. sharing info, thus helping transparency in the 141 scene, is the the tide that lifts all boats. it shows real pix of the girls (if they will allow it, and always respect their wishes), real prices, real tips, what you can reasonably expect. it busts the awful Photoshopping of some gals, B&S tactics, etc. girls who get rave reviews seem to get booked solid.

3) those who only want to TAKE and not give, ask endless questions, make continuous off-topic comments etc, should be STRONGLY urged to heed this simple advice: post your experiences. if you're new to HK, there's an international section. if you'rea newbie, there's a section for newbies. there is NO EXCUSE for not contributing, unless you have no experience whatsoever as a punter. even ONE punt means you're experienced, many newbies have posted about their first EVER experience. this is a board for mongers. if you're here for some other reason, you're in the wrong place. the Net is huge: find YOUR place. if u do participate in the local scene, then contribute. it really is that simple.

4) if you're new to this board, pay HEED to comments from moderators and senior members. if they're asking you questions, please answer. if they're requesting that you not-do something, stop doing it. if you are confused, READ THE EFFING FORUM. u are a member, no, u may not be able to read all the reports and see all the pix, but u can definitely read the FAQs on forums, esp the newbie forum. u do not get a free ride here, and if you violate some of the "terms of service" CLEARLY spelled out on FAQs, u will be warned and possibly banned. you DO have to use discretion, use common sense and embrace the spirit of co-operation and contribution to be a welcomed member of this board. if that is too much for you, please post elsewhere.

That is precisely what I do NOT want happening - here and my fervent wish, also NOT on other threads.  You see, its not just being Mr. Nice guy or whatever - Man... I can (and had previously OCCASIONALLY been) a bad ass too - but then I started to "see the light" and I now personally feel that our board can AND IS sometimes too harsh on ANYBODY committing even the smallest infraction; whether intended or not.

I mean - no matter how much we all want to be good members etc , unfortunately all of us do sometimes make mistakes, come out with inappropriate statements/post up something inappropriate, crack a joke which comes out all wrong and is taken as an insult,  have our boss/get the better half on our case and we go on the boards in a foul mood etc etc etc - and wham!  

And of course much worse for the Newbies who just didn't know that something is a no-no here! And how many times have we seen a newbie with less than 10 posts to his name getting -A or even -K with the notation - SPAM or IRRELEVANT or Read the Getting Started section. What would you do if you were that newbie?

Do something unintentional/innocuous in one's own eyes and right away BIG guns come out and ..... you're dead.  Or you might as well be dead on this forum as there's then no coming back.

Now to me this is NOT RIGHT!  Too many times I see matters really get under the microscope and then the Running hordes gunning down the hapless poor sap.  Now I'm NOT saying that in many cases that this is not justified (there ARE trolls for sure) - but in every case?  A guy gets jacked on, he's gonna come back out with both fists raised .... and ... that's the beginning of the end!

So I'd like to suggest that if you do suspect something NOT right - why don't you just report such post to the Mods or in the case of this thread - drop me a PM to give me a heads up.

This 'REPORT" button, found on the lower right hand corner of each post is what I hope you click on every time you see a post that is suspect i/o taking matters into your own hands. Let the Mod do their work - you and I, we are NOT Mods - so best we leave such matters to them.

I hope I'm not being too "lame" in this matter - on the one hand, worrying about trolls and on the other, wanting to give each and every member a chance to build themselves to good membership here.

And that is actually the reason that I did write out the outline of Monk_99's transgressions here. Yes, it did take quite a while to research and write out  - but I do want everybody to know that we DID give this guy as much rope as he wanted - and he did hang himself.

hmm, to be honest, i actually find the senior bros, mods and admin quite alright and lenient at times, so you don't need to worry about new pple getting flogged for the smallest things. newbies should know better anyway, besides, there are countless attempts here at getting newbies to read faqs first, heck, even when i started out here, i really read quite a lot to get up and running and why shouldn't other newbies do the same?
