I have a travel guide book of Macau dated early 1990's and in the entertainment guide section, mentions China City.  Guess that no renovation has been carried out since opening.

Yes, there are Vietnamese girls in the KTVs, at least 4 in Rio.

One is really hot, her name is Anna.  However, my friend says that while doing the deed with her in an upstairs room, he distinctly heard Vietnamese swearing in his head while she was busy moaning.  Freaked him out so bad he stopped and left immediately, waiting for me in the downstairs lobby.

Vietnamese and Thai horror movies have spooked us all!

the best KTV from all the ones i've been to in Macau is definitely the one inside the starworld which is surprising because you don't see any advertising for it around the hotel and you really wouldn't guess a place like that to have a KTV but indeed it does. It is also by far the priciest KTV I've been to in Macau.

All 3 times I went there the quality of girls were good and the service there is exceptional, and I probably had the most expensive but also the best mongering experience with a girl at starworld, unfortunately I was never able to track that girl down again for a repeat since she never returned to macau except that short 2 weeks or so she was there.

Damage for the girl overnight and 2 pops was 2500 but I tipped her 500 for 3k for the amazing experience, and the damage at the ktv was 3k or so per person for the 3 of us.

if you don't mind dropping 5-8k for the night that's a great spot to check out for Macau.

besides that emperor's got a good thing going and so does rio and golden dragon, and they are all basically the same price range.

Is that finally open?

I've heard about it "opening soon" ever since early 2008 but everytime there is nothing there.  Where exactly is it located btw?

3k for KTV seems steep. I assume you all stayed for a long time.  Previous reports indicate rooms cost arounf 1k then 2.5k for take out.  Anyhoiw, maybe I try later tonight!!

it's on the 9th floor, only the first set of elevators that go from 1-9 take you there.

and yes the prices are steep, it's actually more than 3k for the girl because at starworld you have to pay a $400 fee per every hour your there with your girl and that doesn't come off the final price for taking them for the full course unlike other places where if you decide to take the girl it's just a flat fee.

so it actually ended up being more than 3k for the night just for the girl, since there is also a minimum 2 hours you must pay.

one time we got the room a bit cheaper because one of the junket owners let me use his name before heading down there so the host set us up real nice but otherwise yea this place caters to the high rollers and you'll see with the quality of the girls.

minimum room charge for the smaller rooms was I believe 5k, but it's all hard to say because it depends on how many people you go with and bla bla, knowing someone that knows the ppl there is a big plus if you decide to go down.

one night I stayed for about 4-5 hours with a group of 6 and the bill for just the room was 24k including the hourly fees for the girls and think we had like 3 bottles of whiskey, that was excluding the take-out fee if you choose to take her.

another night it was just with 3 ppl and we stayed the minimum 2 hours and the bill was like 8k and we didn't even order any whiskey just filled the entire tab with beers and food since we were mainly there just for the girls, still came out to be roughly 9k split between 3.

a third time I was there but someone grabbed the entire check so no idea how much it was but figure it came out to be at least 30k-40k for the room that night.


this is really the only place where I actually spent real money while in Macau.

very good spot to go if you got a meeting you want to go the extra mile.

also there are a handful of girls that speak English there.

i tend to agree that it is a good place to go after meetings to go "the extra mile", especially with customers. while i have spent HK$20-30k a night in Las Vegas having the time of my life (maybe twice in my lifetime, but after big winnings), i seldom spend that amount on myself unless i'm using it to build relationship with clients.

hmmm, heading towards Macau this saturday, wingman and i are not sure if we should go for ktv or spa.
me have the english-only problem (little english is fine but no english at all is too boring), but your starworld suggestions sounds somehow nice. tried to google it, no results, SW-webpage, no mentioning. any pictures somewhere in the net?
any further infos? usual lineup cermony? how many lineups? ect?

the lines up are much smaller in comparison to the other KTVs at starworld, but quality > volume is the way they go it seems there.

usually they got about 20-30 girls from the times I've been there, depends when you go. I'm not sure where on the web you can find information for it being that starworld is a big luxury name hotel and I don't think they will advertise this kind of service being offered at their joint.

you won't find much more than that on the web since they don't really advertise that they offer prostitutes at an established hotel name like starworld, but this place is one of the most luxurious KTVs I've been to for sure, they really put a lot of money into it.

Your first experience and second experience you talk about here don't add up to the prices you are quoting.

Your first example is 4-5 hours with 6 people with bottles = 24k

Your second example is 2 hours with 3 people w/o bottles = 8k

The three bottles of scotch alone would be at least 5-6k of that total.

I'm not saying anything negative, just that this makes it very hard to gauge what prices they have it pegged at.  I'll check out this place on my next visit and try and clarify the pricing structure.

every girl in the room have an hourly fee so it also costs more with more people the longer you stay, and the bottles don't really mean much in terms of how many because they vary in price so greatly.

also the time I went with a group of 3 we were referred by a junket owner who goes their regularly so we got some perks I believe off the pricing whereas the other times we didn't

memory's a bit vague since it was 5-6 months since I've been there but I would say if your planning on taking a girl for the main courses and drink as well expect to pay about 4-5k per person.

Actually it looks the other way round.  Your time with 3 is so expensive compared to your party of 6 w/alcohol that it's impossible to know what the score is.  Usually with more people and more hours + alcohol it should be a lot more per person.

In the cases you describe, with 3, it's 3k per person, while with 6, it's 4k per person.  

Anyways, if you say it'll be 4-5k a person, I'll have to check it out and see what the big deal is.  That would place it double what the other clubs charge, so it would have to be pretty impressive to survive.

I'm not sure why your nitpicking the numbers, but since you insist on me verifying every little detail for you here i'll do it for you one last time.

the time I went with 3 people we ordered only food and beer and stayed like 2 hours and paid the minimum 3 hour fee to the house which is paid regardless of taking the girls out or not.

the time we went with a larger group we spent a much longer time there, 4-5 hours or so so the hourly rate per girl per person and some had 2 girls at some points, all that adds up so the tab was larger per person, also since the alcohol was much more plentiful that night.

the KTV at starworld is more dedicated to casino vips and junket whales that want some fun, it's not somewhere you see people simply wanting to get a lay go since the pricing is extremely high for Macau.

edit: also the rooms and service itself is much much higher quality than any of the other KTVs in Macau by a long shot, also there are hosts that actually speak perfect fluent English which is a big plus for those who want to go to KTV without someone who speaks cantonese. The girls there get much less traffic as well and take care of themselves much more since they are what I assume getting paid much more than girls that are in the typical KTVs.

we took two of the girls out for dinner and they actually didn't look cheap in terms of fashion and how they carried themselves, also they had real designer bags which I found surprising.

I think you are misinterpreting my messages, as I'm not trying to nitpick or have you verify your numbers at all.

As I posted, the numbers don't add up as you would imagine that the larger group, with alcohol, spending twice as much time, would be MUCH more expensive per person than what you have suggested.  I'm not suggesting you correct yourself or verify this, I'm just saying that it doesn't make sense.

As such, as I said, I will check it out myself when I'm there and see what's so special about the place and figure out the pricing.

Just to add, wandered into Rio's nightclub at around 10pm and asked about prices.  I think the charge for ST cost 1400,  and  LT for 2600, with the deed being done in your hotel. I cannot recall what the charge was for the nightclub but think its at least 1000.  For the first look at the lineup, there is no charge.  There was also a russian in the first lineup and my initial thoughts were the standard was prety decent.   The manager did advise me that it would be better to pick early evening, otherwise the best ones are likely to have be chosen and not available later on in the evening.
