Second, if your SO had found you with another girl in your office, even if you had a plausible excuse, it likely would have looked like "a convenient, plausible excuse" to her. The bottom line is that we can often get complacent about our SO's views of how we spend our time. Be warned: plausible to us and plausible to our SO's are two completely different things. The greatest of care must be taken, to avoid upsetting a valuable long term relationship.
