I saw the video a couple of weeks ago and it's not representative of current Shenzhen. These days you're lucky if you can find some aunties in Shazui, the village he mentions. As Rocketeer said Shenzhen and Dongguan (Changping town) are pretty much dead.
Actually, there's still some 'brothel town' activity around Shenzhen (Dongguan Humen town and Huizhou) but it's not as widely advertised as Changping and the villages in Futian and Luohu were. | |
