I'm using a N900 - disappointed it hasn't got a Xenon flash like the N82, but it surpasses on other features such as supreme web browsing, navigation, etc.    So it's a balance really.  I googled some comparisons of some low light and pitch black shots.  N900 has good detail though slightly noisy in dark, but good detail.

I would be v tempted by the new 12MP - Nokia N8 - with Xenon flash... maybe the next toy to buy.  Some stills...

All my vids/pics are personal at the mo.. will have to remember when I'm out next to shoot something generic to upload.  If you are willing to have more blueish noise you can really pump up the gain / exposure compensation and get a much brighter video in seriously dimmed room conditions.
